Chapter 27 looks at competencies for instructional design and technology professionals.  If you were responsible for identifying the domains, competencies, and performance statements for a performance technologist, what would they include and why?

If  I were responsible for setting the guidelines for performance technologist.  I would use Professional Foundations, Performance Analysis, Development, and Implementation as the competencies.
Professional Foundation: This is important because nothing hold up without a proper foundation.  It is the framework for the entire program, and without it the entire program will fall apart.
Performance Analysis: It is important to use data in order to set goals and expectations of the program.
Development: The development of the program is crucial to the overall outcome of its effectiveness.  It is at this stage that we will evaluate training and determine if there is a need to make adjustments in  instruction.
Implementation: This is where we determine the effectiveness of the overall instruction.
